Handwriting Calculator. Doesn’t it sound cool?

Well, Nokia Beta Labs has release this great application called Nokia Handwriting Calculator.
It allows you to calculate handwritten math expressions with a touch-screen Nokia 5800.

Beside the normal calculation, it also support scientific functions like sin, cos, tan, ln, etc. On top of that, it can support the math constants ‘e’ and pi which you can write directly.

Believe it or not, the first ever Multi-Touch Game (Space Dancer) for Nokia 5800 XM had just been released yesterday.

Apparently, Nokia 5800 XM uses resistance touch screen and only supports single touch only. But the developer, Jamie Fuller, has put together ‘multitouch-like-feel’ technology on this game using some cool hack programming.

I had just downloaded this game, Space Dancer (Guitar Hero-style game).
And wow, I really can feel the multi-touch power. It is promising and responsive.

Me myself not sure how the game emulate the multi-touch action, but definitely it is a new area in Nokia Touch UI Gaming Industry.

You can tap the title of the song in the main screen to switch between the the songs to choose it.

Ok, one touch to catch the laser beat of the song.

Now, 2nd touch – Multiple touch!!

How I do that?

Basically it is an user interface application develop on flash lite platform. This application is called as MyPhone. Just with 1 click, it will give your Nokia 5800 an iPhone look and user experience.

It came with all default iPhone icons. On top of that, all the features are fully functional. Isn’t that great? You can even slide between menu pages just like iPhone.

Beside that, you can do the icon shaking to rearrange the menu icons just like iPhone.

Included inside this application are the Weather and RSS modules.

Today I want to share with you all on how to set the proxy for your Nokia 5800 WIFI connection. The setting menu was not so easy to find for newbie. It took me about half an hour to find the place to set it.

1. Go to your first level menu in your phone and click on the Settings menu.

2. Click on the Connectivity menu.

3. Click on the Destinations menu

4. Click on the Internet menu

5. It will show a list of previous access point that you had connected before. If the access point that you want to connect to are not inside here, click refresh. After found the access point, click on it.

6. Screen below show the details of the WIFI access point.

7. Click on Option and choose Advanced Settings

8. Enter your Proxy server address and Proxy port number. Then get out from the menu.

9. Go to your browser now. Voila, here is the Google page!!
