Le Français French Dining – Thumb Up

French dining? Me? No no. Its doesn’t sound like me because I’m a very typical Chinese guy come from an average family. I count every cent I spent. Ya..ya..but I’m not that “kiam siap” la. Well, I really do go to French dining at Le Francais with Christine during our anniversary just to show how much I care and love her. Although the price is “HUH” but it’s really worth it. The food and service are excellent.

Well, let’s talk about this place. It was located at Bangsar’s new colony of trendy dining spots in One Bangsar. The restaurant was fully air-conditioned. It separate all the dining table using maroon velvet curtains, which make us felt more privacy. Starched white-and-burgundy tablecloths are paired with modern, cream-colored chairs on natural timber flooring. The seating capacity should be around 40.

Dinner started off with …. Aiks…I forget what we order for starter liaw. But there are some sort of bread rolls with butter. Then we order Cream of Garlic soup. The soup is smooth and creamy. Nice.

For the main course, Christine ordered the Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Sauce. It’s came with tender green asparagus and pearl-shaped vegetables. For myself, I ordered Salmon Fillet with orange-butter sauce and candied tomatoes (skinless and lightly sweetened), rocket, and red cabbage. Both are just too delicious.

As dessert, Christine ordered for Lemon Tartlet and Chocolate Fondant for me. If you like sour taste, you should go for the Lemon Tarlet. But it just too sour for me. I don’t like it. I prefer the Chocolate Fondant as it is delightful (soft and sweet).

And we opened a 2001 Michelle Merlot from France. It’s nice and matches the dishes.
Sorry, I forget to take the photo for the main dishes because I was too excited and enjoying the food and environment.

Haze Is Back

After the heavy rain last night, I thought it will clear all the haze. Unfortunately I’m wrong. The haze is back. From the building where I work (Cyberjaya), I can see the area surrounded start to be hazy again. It not that bad yet, but still I can smell the burning smell. I ask my colleague to check the API and he told me it was 60 and it was not updated. Too bad I don’t have any camera phone, if not I will post some latest photo here. Talking about camera phone, Christine just bought a new camera phone. I will wrote review about that phone after I finish reading manual of the phone. ^_^

Huh…another bad hazy day.

Belated Haze News

Well, I took some photo from my house last Thursday but haven’t has chance to post it. So I just drop a few words here with the photo I took. I was sick and not going to work that day. And the haze was at its worst. The API of Port Klang and Kuala Selangor has exceed 500 unit which mean dangerous level. The APIs most hazardous category is above 500. Above 500, a state of emergency is declared in the reporting area. Usually, this means that non essential government services are suspended, and all ports in the affected area closed. There may also be a prohibition on private sector commercial and industrial activities in the reporting area excluding the food sector. But now the haze has gone…so hopefully its will getting better and better

From those photos, I’m feel that I was at GENTING Highland. But I don’t feel cold. It’s hot and dry.

Some definition related to haze I found on the net.
American Air Quality Index – (AQI)
Malaysian Air Pollution Index – (API)
Regional Haze Action Plan – (RHAP)
HAZE – an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other pollutant particles obscure the normal clarity of the sky.

Trip To Cameron Highland

I took 4 days unpaid holiday early this month. Plus weekends, I have 6 days. It been quite a while I didn’t go anyway for a long holiday. Well, the reason I’m taking off is because my family come to visit me. And we are going to Cameron Highland for holiday. It was 2 days trip. Hmm…actually nothing much to write as I personally not so enjoying going there. For me Genting is much better and interesting. I’m too lazy and too busy to write down all about the holiday, so I think I just let the photo tell it. I will upload all the photo to my gallery after I finish editing it. Here I included few for starter.
